But real talk, I don't know why so many radlibs are totally comfortable with the term anarchist but communism is scary. Life in real world anarchist jurisdictions has always been far more terrifying and unstable than life in communist ones.
This isn't to say there aren't real anarchists out there, I've met them, they're the most engaged people to organize with at any sort of political demonstration/protest, but I know so many Warren libs that like to group themselves in with these people.
But real talk, my serious answer for why this exists is that there are a lot of people who have left wing political beliefs as it relates to the United States, but are poison brained about politics in foreign countries because of their older family members. It took a shit ton of deprogramming for me to even consider Israel as being bad.
Vaush fans are people who are becoming radicalized but still exist in primarily liberal spheres of discourse. It's a period of transition, not a genre of people
Not sure if it's relevant, but you comment made me think of it- idk why so many people accept self-labeling anarchists at face value. Like people will post about how dumb anarchists are but they point to a comment on the vaush sub- those are radlibs at best why are you going along with the whole charade?
Yeah, I think it's something that should be said of all leftist ideologies. You aren't a communist or an anarchist unless you've meaningfully engaged in contemporary communist or anarchist struggles. Ranging from specific targeted protests to basic anti capitalist struggles like eviction fights at the more basic end to fighting in foreign wars like the rojava international sympathizers.
Life in real world anarchist jurisdictions has always been far more terrifying and unstable than life in communist ones.
Life in real life anarchist jurisdictions has been every bit as chaotic as life in communist jurisdictions at the same point in their existence. You cannot tell me that war communism was a stable state of affairs compared to revolutionary spain or korea

Anarchists tend to put a lot more thought into alternatives than marxists do ime. This doesn't hold up to me
