This is hilarious, my local Imam literally sounded like a white boomer a few Fridays ago. The entire Khutbah was "stay on your grind! There' are black business owners, so systemic racism isn't a thing! The police are mostly good, in fact, we need more Muslim police! Rioting is never justified, imagine if your dad's private medical practice got looted!" It's like, yeah imagine if the rioters had a totally different set of material conditions, then their actions would suddenly be illogical. He then had the audacity to quote Malcolm X. It's hilarious to see how Muslims are talked about in domestic US politics, as though they are not subject to the same sort of class oriented biases as literally any other group of people.
It's been a while since I went to a mosque (I only went back when I had a muslim SO, and then only rarely), but from what I remember it's basically 1:1 attending church in my small ass hometown, except replace boring readings of archaic translations of the bible with bad arabic singing of the quran. That and shoe theft. That's the muslim crime wave, shoes stolen at mosque.
