    Because the person you were arguing with lives in China and thus probably knows more than your base understanding of the subject (watching some sinophobic vloggers channel). They gave you the stat. 25 million dogs are killed for meat. In a country with more than a billion people that’s not common. That’s a meal they have a few times a year like at a festival.

    It’s a take because you’re telling a Chinese person their lived experience isn’t real. Don’t be racist. Take that shit to Reddit, they’ll eat it up.

      The person I'm arguing with just admitted his girlfriend's family runs a dog meat farm.

      Maybe he's defensive because people on this site (and when talking about their home countries) get insanely defensive about China.
