It sounds like the worst holiday ever. Getting together with your racist uncle to celebrate the whitewashing of US colonialism? Man I feel you. At least the food is good, but at what cost? interviewer

Anyway, story strong around the holiday season my friends.

When you get old enough you get to choose who you spend "feast and don't work" day with.

It's not so bad if you've got people you like, good food, and don't watch TV.

There's no expectation of shopping, very few people have to work, it's like capitalism gets shut down for a day.

ETA: if you have young ones, it's also a good day to talk about genocide and our relationship with history.

At least the food is good

I don't think I've ever had good turkey on Thanksgiving

People always overcook the everloving shit out of it

We're talking Gravy Robbers levels of dryness

My family ditched the turkey bullshit years ago and we just order stuff from a local barbecue joint. Then we make mashed potatoes and baked beans and live off the leftovers for like a week.

I'm telling you, turkey doesn't belong on a plate, it belongs in sandwiches in thin processed slices
