gigachad karl marx with the caption "Engels it's the 6th of December, time for you to pay my rent again."
Below it is an image of a letter which says:
"Marx to Engels
In Manchester
[London.] 6 December 1868
Dear Fred,
Please send me £3 by this Wednesday (the day after tomorrow), since the gas bill, etc, are due, and I have promised to pay by then.
Salut.
If you could send me a few £ for the Christmas week now beginning, it would be very welcome.
Salut.
Yours
K. M."
Also I like that he called him Fred
It just feels like a "modern" name and is funny to imagine 1800s people saying
"Communists and-a gentlemen (and I use-a that term-a loosely!) — My name is-a Friedrich Engels, and I'm-a here to introduce to you a very good-a friend of mine. I support everything-a this man has to say — As a matter of fact, I also support his-a wife and-a six kids. That's-a good!"
