making >70k in the imperial core means your petit boug. Like, there’s nothing wrong with acknowledging your class, what’s incredibly offensive is...not doing it. No way you’re a comrade if you can’t recognize the grimrealitu of most people in the world.
your relations to the material conditions dictate what class you are. Petty bourgeoisie is small business owners. If you are gonna use left buzzwords to do epic owns with then at least use them correctly

Speaking of buzzwords....
not all petit boug are small business owners. A lot lick the boot of big capital without owning anything themselves, and that includes a lot of engineers and programmers.
Yes, petit bourgeois. That’s the insult I’ll go for, never mind actually knowing anything about the word or anything about materialism. This will earn me points with my Discord ™ leftist friends. Tech workers: OWNED
then be more specific and use another term. Tech worker is such a red herring, might as well use financial worker or medical laborer to refer to doctors.
That’s exactly my point, it is dumb to say that all tech workers are petit bourgeois.
Edit: in fact, just because you get paid a high salary does not make you petit bourgeois in any sense of the phrase. A tech worker does not even necessarily make a high salary. A tech worker does not inherently own means of production by being a tech worker. A tech worker is still a worker. Not a store owner, a middle manager or a small business owner. They do not have employees. You don’t understand what petit bourgeois means and you’re just throwing it around to look cool to your discord buddies.
I am a tech worker and my first tech job was 8 dollars an hour, from a boss that would write bad checks and I would find out at the ATM when I would go to deposit them. Fun times (not). Also fuck me for busting my ass and struggling every day to try and make more money so I can actually afford things like food and a place to live right? What should I do instead, just starve? Yeah the system is fucked and all I can do is help organize in my local community, partake in events and help build class consciousness with my fellow workers so we can overthrow this corrupt shit.
I worked hard and struggled to try and make more money so I didn't have to deal with roommates that would try to beat me or rape me by the way so fuck you.
Are you or are you not, wittingly or unwittingly, involved in the hiring process? Just answer that truthfully. To suggest that a programmer/engineer exists in a vacuum within their corporate spaces and has no material effect on the life of anyone else is offensive. A high salary constitutes material wealth in and of itself, we don’t live in an age where nobility is a thing.
No I’m not involved in the hiring process dumbass, I’m just another corporate drone in the sea of drones working my ass off to make a shareholder rich and struggling to pay my rent. “Tech worker” does not equate to dudes making 200k at google in San Francisco all the time. Fuck off.
‘im not it im not it’
Seriously, tell me what petit bourgeois means to you. They’re just throwing words around because they’re mad about discord. Lame as fuck, log off..

If someone's individual mindset can decide one's class then you got an unworkable definition of class
Literally idealist.

"Tech workers" does that include the 8 dollar an hour call center slaves? They have no idea what they're talking about.
Yeah don’t hid behind the wage slaves and pretend you’re one of them by larping that you’re a tech worker.
