I thought the question "why?" Would be the big one but man am i sick of answering "what happened?" About every single thing. Feels no fun to say i don't know especially when i do know. Responding with some variation of "i didn't see, do you know what happened?" Is fine but it's really showing where my weak points in my patience are

Just a handful of weeks to go till our due date. We're skipping out on family Christmas gatherings, to avoid disease. Family is not receptive to our concerns, and I'm not sure they're going to follow even basic sanitary guidelines when they come to visit us with our newborn. I'm not sure yet how much help we'll want from them in the first few months.

I'm in the process of switching jobs, so I will have zero paid time off of any kind. I'm just going to have to play the awkward dance of telling them that I'm not going to be in for a week and see where the chips fall.

I was in the same situation, new job and no PTO but we had a newborn. Was really stressed about it. Thankfully, the baby just slept and nursed 24/7 so my wife was able to manage ok. Not ideal but I went a lot better than I had feared.

One of my boys is fine during the day, then at bedtime he just starts chewing his dummy like he's teething, his head gets so hot and sweaty, and he gets snotty like he has a cold. I don't know what it is or why it's just at bedtime

Maybe something to do with sinuses draining when he lays down? Not sure about the hot and sweaty part though.

It's so odd. At childcare he sleeps without his dummy, so I need to get him to bed and get the dummy out of his mouth somehow. Then he night have a decent sleep

Nothing major to report. We had a rough weekend with the kids bouncing off the walls that ended up in everyone yelling on Saturday.

The kids have a like this week and then get to start winter break so there is that. I'll be working.

This fucking job. No, I'm not too fond of working for Amazon, but the pay is ok. The labor is back and soul crushing. I've seen delivery drivers literally run before and I get it now. They give the drivers such a big load of shit to deliver, and expect to do it in 9 hours or so. It's fucking rough. At this point, if they get rid of me after peak season, I'll be fine with that. The money has been nice for helping us get by and it's been nice not having to rely on others for financial help as much but this job sure isn't getting us out of this hole. I think we are at the break even point at the end of the month but not sure.

So, I did some soul searching and after asking about gender, I'm def prob somewhere in the demi/agender camp. As one does, I bought pins for my hat. I made the joke already that if I decide to have a gender reveal party, their won't be a cake to cut to reveal lol(my first agender joke). But I don't know where to go from here but it feels closer to right. Gonna just add that to the pile of ADHD, Autism, bisexually, depression, anxiety, and OCD that make up our family. It's a mess but a good mess.

Oh, a byproduct of this research is that I'm for sure definitely demisexual. So, I got that going for me rofl.

Thanks. Its the lack of sleep that's really been getting to me. Between my ADHD and this ive felt like a zombie. Which makes me irritable, which makes me feel like I'm being to short with people. I feel like a ball of stress and just glad I'm on the mend.

Kid wanted us to unlock the computer so she could do her allotted time of coding in Scratch, but we were still eating dinner and told her she had to wait. She then proceeded to start meowing Jingle Bells over and over again, presumably hoping we would get so annoyed that we would just cave and put in the password before we were done eating.

So, my wife takes her phone out and starts playing Skibidi Toilet (which the kid hates with the fire of one thousand suns) and she immediately started screaming, ran away, and burst into tears. I think she's still crying now. lol. lmao.

Sorry kid you brought this on yourself hahaha

My boys talk so much when they have their dummies out of their mouths, I just need to get them out
