      It depends, in general under Islamic laws a state governed by sharia is not necessarily supposed to ban practices permissible to people of the book in their own scripture. That's why things like pork and alcohol are available to Christian and Jewish minorities in Iran for example.

      Saudis however are doing this because culture war and as power play especially after 2022 world cup in Qatar, for a lot of Muslims the religion revolves around consumption of foodstuffs and existence of LGBTQ.
