    okay that seems way too cheap and doesn't appear to create many or any lines that don't follow already existing routes (at least in the west)

      Yeah no way 25b is enough for this project. Part of me thinks this proposal is meant to do a bad job to discredit cross country rail

    If I remember correctly Joe has been an Amtrack regular over his career, though it might be part of his folksy persona.
