Terrible of course, and I know this is not the point at all, but to be honest he's probably better off in Italy or a Scandinavian country by the sounds of it.
The NHS has gotten so bad, and seems have rapidly gotten worse since COVID. I used to be happy to rely on it. Have had a string of terrible experiences with them now that have lead to long term problems. Now if I need specific treatment quickly, I use an online private doctor and pay the extra.
Seems like their whole model these days is just to turn as many people away as possible, and give the least amount of treatment they can.
The model very much is "look how good this private healthcare is compared to NHS"
