This is what happens when you get a GF you go woke. The Jonkler got a GF and now he's singing musical numbers. Superman got a GF and now he respects black people. Bat Man is the last hope for white G*mer men.

Superman as a Christ allegory is low tier analysis of the character, and the most boring interpretation any writer has ever brought to the character.

IMO it's flat out worst interpretation, next to "Superman as ICE officer" in that one comic.

Right wing means white man apparently? Ffs, and he's an undocumented alien immigrant anyway.

Are you talking about the one from "Gods and Monsters"? I wish the whole movie had been about that version of Superman and left out all the other stuff.

A Superman that gets adopted by illegal immigrants, thus emphasizing the immigrant aspect of the character, which is always there but always downplayed by the Smallville white family backstory? Great, interesting!

Then there's Batman ... but a vampire? Wonder-Woman ... but a New God and she doesn't respect consent? Uhhh ... ? Coulda left all that shit out.

I am still scared it's gonna suck though. Superman has been cursed, movie-wise. Mostly I was turned off by how many other characters they're throwing in with it, makes me worry it's gonna be a big sloppy CGI "toy-masher" sort of film.

I'm just wondering how people still give this much of a shit about the absolute worst of superhero slop. I mean I guess a lot of the reactionary audience is teenagers, but aren't most of these anti-woke creators in their 30s and up? How do you wake up and care this much about fucking Superman, a bland superhero with red speedos worn on top of blue leggings, without feeling ashamed of yourself? Like who cares if he's gay or if his friends are trans, this is stuff for babies, it's like as if I suddenly attempted a serious analysis of Curious George which my 6 year old nephew watches. I would burst out in laughter bc it's just absurd
