Hiding behind this excuse, when I could have sworn that they literally tackled this exact subject matter on The Disney Channel like ten years ago. It's a pretty clear barometer for the cultural backlash period we're currently going through.

They pulled some similar shit recently banning a trans episode of one of their marvel cartoons
