If this happens, I would sign up for some sort of Chinese foreign legion. I don't even need guaranteed citizenship following service. I just want a chance to fight imperialists as penance for being a subject of this empire.

Mexico is like 70% mountains, yeah you could probably shatter the Mexican military but good luck with Afghanistan part two but this time the resistance fighters can directly attack the American metropol and her strategic treat reserve. That "soft invasion" is going to get real hard, real fast. Not to mention the internal resistance when they inevitably start rounding up anyone who speaks Spanish.

I somehow completely missed that already starting last year, literally fucking invading Mexico has become an increasingly mainstream view among high-ranking Republicans. These people are completely out of their minds!

Sounds like someone explained usual US foreign policy to Trump and he just came up with a Trumpism to explain it, which says the quiet part out loud. This is probably the usual thing they do in Mexico, training and arming gangs to destabilise things.

All Mexico needs to do, is send some missiles towards the border cities in America, and the war will quickly come to and end. If Americans actually pay the price for the war, then it just won't happen.

Edit: I don't mean for Mexico to go on a genocidal spree. But if they target, power structures, fuel depots, and other strategic places, American cities and towns will grind to a halt and even shut down. Even worse if the prices of basic commodities sky rocket due to speculation and price gauging. Public opinion would be extremely against the invasion. I just don't see a way to sell this war to the American people, if they become a part of it.

You underestimate the depths of some Americans hatred of Mexicans. We react to direct attacks in a weird way too, instead of pausing and thinking "Maybe this isn't worth it" we're taught to double down.

I'd imagine that would cause the exact opposite reaction. When has this kind of thing ever broken morale? In pretty much every post WW2 conflict, all this kind of bombing does is strengthen hatred for the enemy. The value of these bombings is usually in the destruction of any kind of infrastructure, military or civilian, and creating an atmosphere of tension.

All the people who said Trump won't start any new wars are in for a rude awakening. He is promising that we're going to start a military action with Iran, Mexico, and probably Palestine.

You think Trump is going to start a military action in Palestine? To what end? Israel is already using our unlimited supply of weapons to do a complete genocide, why would Trump get in the way?

Since people claim Mexican families coming over is an invasion, why don't we invade Mexico with the same tactic and send families to go live there?

That is a good idea to get rid of any lazy European immigrants who refuse to abandon their free riding lifestyle and government benefits under the pretense of "universal human rights" after the British diaspora depleted their supply of Indigenous First Nation child slaves in the residential fake schools that secretly operated after 1997. The need to depose of free riders is increasing urgent especially when the US is losing their revenue from con-man, puppet governments, and debt trapping scheme of the transnational Neo-Liberal institutions. In the first place, the people who should bear all the third world problems that Pax Americana is causing should be the people who supported and voted for the perpetrators.

Its worse than just that, it's settler colonialism, the American manifest destiny for lebensraum... that's how they gained their Southwestern states

There's many fackin' thangs wrong with Amerikkka, that the Nazis were inspired by, from using Zyklon B to delouse migrants (in the Nazis' case, kill them), to one drop rule (that Nazis decided to moderate down a bit)

I mean, settler colonialism isn’t just “White people moving places”

If it was an actual parallel to Mexican immigration to the US, people moving mostly for better economic opportunity and becoming part of their new communities, buying homes the way everyone else does, that’s fine and normal, gentrification at worst. It’s the forced displacement/mass murder/land stealing that’s the problem. There’s nothing wrong with a white person moving to Chiapas, getting a job, and buying a home, as long as they don’t displace or murder anyone to do it.

Maybe... actually it would be good!

BUT as far as I'm concerned, Amerikkka shaytan al akbar, especially as the biggest settler-colonial entity

My prediction is, they're gonna cry wolf about Mexico, and then the U.S will have to intervene and "accidentally" occupy the place (it's not unlikely, especially since they're neighbors). We saw that not only in Amerikkka in 1848 but in Israel, regarding the West Bank, and they allowed Israel to do it again with Syria, when they overthrow its leader, Bashar
