    What is the take on Lugansk and Donetsk? Simply Russian nationalism, or some kind of Soviet nostalgia manifesting as a desire to join Russia in the hopes that it might become socialist once more?

      A bit of both? Those people legitimately want to live in Russia, and also invited actual soldiers from another country to make it happen. Russia and Ukraine really shouldnt be fighting each other tho, when their working classes are both being clapped up by other EU and US powers
