r/collapse is the most important subreddit to win the ideological battle in. If it goes far-right, it's using the ultimate source of anxiety to drive eco-fascism. Other subreddits that form a pewdiepipeline will pale in comparison to how effective that one will be. It's already a subreddit that has to feature a suicide hotline on the sidebar because it's so overwhelmingly scary.
It absolutely is the largest materialist subreddit. I openly post as a Leninist with positive reception because the things we believe counter those anxieties in a constructive way. When you can point out the who/what/where/when/whys of a thread from a dialectical materialist standpoint, or even just share relevant theory doing so, it resonates there a lot better than it does in political subreddits or general ones. I see more potential for radicalisation there than anywhere else on the website and if nothing else it's helping to refine your arguments for real-life organising.
I always agitate right wing nuts on there and often message their mods if a chud comes along. It's important to me that that sub in particular stays on our side. It would be a shame to lose that one to chuds. I worry about the mod team sometimes though, but the users are mostly solid.
I think it's at least as large as cth was right? They already are very disenchanted with capitalism and liberalism. They're more left than regular reddit but they could break hard right in a second. Eugenics, pop control and just misanthropy are very much in play for /r/collapse' future.
Larger than chapo by a stretch. We were at like 100-120k or so when I last checked and they're at nearly 240k. Threads get like 2-3x the engagement of what I remember chapo threads getting.
It's probably more active now than 4chan's /b/ was when it radicalised a generation of fascists. Definitely more active than r/tumblrinaction or r/subredditdrama when they were prominent pipeline subreddits. Dozens or hundreds of times more active than any of the facebook groups driving fascism and as of today they have 4750x the subscribers r/CBTS did when I first saw what Qanon was going to become and reported the subreddit. Posting is mostly empty conversation but in a space like that it can become a permanent Nuremburg Rally reaching hundreds of thousands of people from their most vulnerable angle.

Europe+ is responsible for 80% of CO2 emissions: https://imgur.com/a/0OS2ZwS
Europe+ has 1.1 billion people and is similarly overpopulated as Africa or China
Keep spamming these two to ward off the fash

Christ, to think I used to hang out in a subreddit with 159.999 liberals
Havent used the sub in years. I imagine it has grown.
