for real. modern unions have become pretty much just a puzzle piece of capitalism. my mom got her pension cut in half like two years ago and is on the verge of losing her house.
that kind of shits been happening more and more. it's better than not having a union, but until pensions get some kind of federal guarantee union members are still basically hanging on by their teeth.
tl;dr - we don't need more professional organizers, we need more workers organizing their own workplaces, and organizing for a contract is a fool's errand
