Liberal arts, along with being incredibly necessary for many parts of a functioning society like sociology (right?) and architecture, also grant us the vision to turn gray blobs of laboratories and actuarial super computers into a place worth sticking around for. If you walked around seeing nothing but people in gray uniforms, no make up, no hats, no murals on the walls, no statues, gray slabs on concrete erected everywhere, it would be bleaker. Music would be nothing but metronomes.

Without giant walls of concrete on buildings, how are you going to provide space for the most proletarian of art forms: graffiti art?
You can always pull a Michael Bloomberg and attach cardboard to the sides of buildings and graffiti on top of it
