at least this isnt as bad as the time she made a slide titled "what is their legacy" with a picture of rbg right next to pictures of native americans without realizing the irony and then had us discuss rbg's legacy as a girlboss
This is a fantastic idea but only if you are confident that the teacher isn't one to hold that against you with regards to your grade.
thank you so much, this is a really good idea! especially since there's a moment in the hamilton songs that i had to listen to where alexander hamilton seems to criticize slavery (jefferson mentions that "in virginia we create, we sow seeds in the ground" and then later hamilton says that "we know who's really doing the planting," and then the crowd gasps because whoa!! epic own), so it might be interesting to write an analysis about the way that he is portrayed and the way that, while hamilton was allegedly anti-slavery, he still did nothing about it since it benefitted him economically and politically, and as you said, he founded the country on sllavery
I had a history teacher who openly said she was a socialist. I was vaguely left but didn't really have a specific (or coherent, for that matter) ideology, and honestly I don't really remember enough her positions super well. She did go on vacation to China one year and talked about how good it was when she came back, so I kinda get the impression she was more than a radlib.
Y’all have these cool teachers but mine were conservatives and occasionally a liberal who probably now thinks Biden needs to move even further to the right
I feel your pain. My apush teacher showed us clips from the west wing
oh god. that's horrible. maybe all apush teachers have terminal cases of brain worms. my thoughts are with you, comrade.
Bucko sounds like you need to go on more leftist rants in class
My ap us history teacher had us reading a people's history by Zinn, so that's pretty cool
