Don't be too specific, obviously.

      Based.

I want to add that you live the life I most desire. The urban proletariat always dreams of being a middling peasant.

If there was anything cool about my life I wouldn't be on this site, lmao.

I mean I'm extremely boring now, I just used to be cool as fuck in a couple different periods of my life. Criminal Drug Addict Phase and Travelling Construction Partyboy Phase

It is. I like to think about it when I begin to feel that I'm boring now.

Btw I forgot to add that I was badass as a little grunge toddler in the 90s.

Yeah it's like staying in and reading a book on a Saturday is more appealing when you have spent countless Saturdays in an alternating state of crisis and euphoria

Since COVID I’ve been working from home and getting paid for 40 hours, but I only actually work about eight of those hours. The rest of the time I consider myself “on call” for any requests from my boss and nap, smoke weed and play video games the rest of the time. And they don’t need to know that. It kinda rules.

I'm jelly. I work with my hands so I have to physically go to work and work the whole time which means I have to touch things that random people touch. I'm pretty sure I've had asymptomatic covid already.

At least you didn't have to terminate cat6a. That shit fucking sucks and you will have carpal tunnel but massive forearms and shoulders by the time you finish 300 runs at 200-300' with terminations at both ends.

Being handy rules. Partners love it, and it feels good to make things work again

I hate those double stack connectors, such a pain to line up correctly, but the thicker gauge wire makes it hold its shape somewhat better. It's so much easier with the 8 straight across connectors.

When you're used to cat5e, terminating cat6a in any way feels like running in knee high water

Same here, I can usually fix almost anything. My brother thought I was insane when I baked his laptop board in the oven, but it worked. I upgraded several older USB A devices to USB C connectors because I was sick of adapters. I bought a fun "luxury" vehicle that was cheap because they've got a reputation for being unreliable that you're supposed to never own out of warranty, but I did all the upgrades and modifications that make it quite reliable, increased it's power/handling, and have put 100000 miles on it without many issues. I doubt I'll ever sell it, too much unalienated labor invested and nothing affordable will likely be an upgrade.

Being a full time Dad. It's the hardest work I've ever done, but it beats the hell out of being a desk jockey all day. Kids are so fucking cool.

Boobs are dope. I've found that after working with your hands for 12 hours, gently holding boobs makes your hands less sore. Also works with any fatty part of the body but boobs are generally the most ergonomic lol

I've managed to avoid being murdered by drug dealers with weapons multiple times, I've been chased by police and gotten away, I've fucked in a hotel hallway, I've spit on a $2M Bugatti, and I've taken a shit at the top of the Eiffel Tower
