In our community meetings, we talk about our dialectical behavioral therapy skills. One of which is using wise mind to deal with a difficult situation.
I actually like it a lot.
How did you use your wise mind today?
I use my wise mind to use music to help create an environment where my students calm down after there was a fight on the unit. We listened to Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, Bill Withers, and Bob Marley.
Shit could you please tell us how? Those who espouse mindfulness never talk about its possible drawbacks or improper use, so knowledge of any oversights/pitfalls would be appreciated.
Just that it's somehow a solution to everything. Not that it's harmful in any case, and really does help a lot, but it's not a magic bullet.
Aight makes sense, ty man.
