    CIA gets sent into Xinjiang

I like this one for the fact they will almost immediately be arrested. I can't wait for them to try and explain what American backpackers are doing in a country they're currently banned from due to covid, why they've been arrested for espionage, why they were caught after illegally crossing the border, and what all these various CIA links are in their history.

Feels like this is not the best of times to be deploying new spies haha.

I would expect this to happen once everything dies down, and we wouldn't know about it until years later. Typically the CIA's playbook is funding separatists, they could meet with them just across the border, find people native to the area, fund them and have them be your voice and do the organising. Lots of ways a group of psychopaths with unlimited funds can destabilize a region, especially since China wants to open up for trade and the BRI.

I'm looking forward to the Ministry of State Security rounding up a bunch of them. The best part about it will be the Breadtube libs whining about how "authoritarian" it is.
