Kitchen grunt angle: fuck brunch so much. Bullshit prep that gets in the way of dinner prep(real food)with batter and eggs and shit bullshit cleanup cause of said batter and eggs and it can easily leak into lunch and dinner service. So you generally don't have time to help set up the closing staff, which is shitty cause they have to catch up while doing dinner. Fuck brunch.

The Anthony Bourdain position on brunch should be the Lefts official standpoint

I don't know what that is. I've ignored Anthony Bourdain since I didn't wanna think about my job on my off time. Since Covid has had me jobless for a while, I might check him out

Edit: just saw the quote on the other post. That about sums it up.

Brunch is nothing but a "horrible, cynical way of unloading leftovers and charging three times as much as you ordinarily charge for breakfast," he said. "It's the least popular shift for cooks. I personally hate it. I've all sorts of deep, highly traumatic memories of my years cooking brunch. ... Hideous."
