I misgendered someone once, apologized when memebers of the trans and enby community told me I should. I wanted to, but wasn't sure if it would just fall on deaf ears, and I'm still the most transphobic person on the internet in their eyes. And the personal grudge Zara seems to have about Quill is one of the grossest things I've had to witness up close.
The user was banned, and I didn't feel like it would be worth anything but more bait for the flamebaiters. I literally misgendered Caden ONCE, and it was full on a typo and apologizing to someone who literally compared me and other mods to abuser was pretty triggering to the PTSD I have from being raped, beaten and nearly killed by someone who said to me "I love you" everyday.
So, sorry I wasn't really on board with apologizing right away, but if you were in my shoes, would you apologize immediately to someone who invalidates your trauma?
