someone gave me their wii so now I have the wiimotes for dolphin finally!

To be clear, I want to know what you like playing on the wii, not the "best" game.

EDIT: so glad I asked here. looking up this stuff on the internet gets me a whole load of people telling me what they think the most people would like. Such is the state of video game journalism.

I tried to name some great ones that are still exclusive to the Wii:

    1. Fortune Street (Great Monopoly-like game to play with friends or by yourself.)

    2. Super Paper Mario (While not as good as the previous 2 games in the series, is still a solid, fun and unique game.)

    3. WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Fast, hectic minigames that make excellent use of all the things that make the Wiimote unique.)

Lost In Shadow is like a 2D indie version of Ico. A lot of people don't like Silent Hill: Shattered Memories but it's the only non-Team Silent SH I like and it has some cool pop-psych aspects to it. A big list oif games to check out: Another Code: R
Baroque (really weird remake of a JRPG rogue-like game)
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
    Earth Seeker translation
    Elebits
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse translation
    Fragile Dreams
    Ikenie NO Yoru translation
    Kirby's Epic Yarn
    The Last Story
Little King's Story (very similar to Pikmin)
    MDK2 port
    Metroid Prime trilogy
    Muramasa: The Demon Blade
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (not great, but NiGHTS is under-appreciate and its OST is great)
    Opoona
    Pandora's Tower
Project Zero 2: Wii Edition (part of the Fatal Frame series)
Sakura Wars (the only officially translated Sakura Wars game before the newest one)
Sin & Punishment (both the Wii game and the virtual console release)
    Trauama Team games
Wario Land: Shake It! (Looks really good with hand-drawn art)
    Xenoblade Chronicles

I watched Voidburger's playthrough of shattered dreams and I think I enjoyed it more than she did lol. Looking forward to trying these out!

It’s been quite a while since I touched mine, but I used to have so much fun with a lot of Wii games. I remember playing Punch-Out! a lot, it even had a fun multiplayer mode. Metroid Prime 3 (and later the whole trilogy). Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Obviously Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Xenoblade Chronicles. Skyward Sword.

I once made a long effort post recommending the best games on Wii including a lot of lesser known games like Fragile Dreams: Farewell ruins of the moon, etc when somebody asked this question on Reddit. But that was years ago, like before Wii U came out, and I wouldn’t be able to find it or remember half as well now all the great games. It was the first comment I ever got gilded for lol.

Edit: Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirbys Epic Yarn, Monster Hunter Tri (but if you can play a newer MH you don’t need to play this one, it was my entry into the series), RE4 with pointer controls, Rhythm Heaven, Sonic Colors, Tasunoko Vs Capcom, Warioware, Wii Sports Resort. I just skimmed an alphabetical list to jog my memory and I know I had a ton of fun with the games I’ve added here!

Fwiw my daughters are huge nintendo fan girls, and neither of them liked Skyward Sword. Now Twilight Princess, that one got played start to finish multiple times.

I loved both but I’ve never not enjoyed a Zelda game really. I played TP on the GameCube though.

I actually like wii bowling, but it's not exactly intuitive if you are into the real thing. Opening my hand does nothing to the balls path and it's irritating.

A game that was pretty fun but I forgot existed was Trauma Center: ER.

Also, my friend got me MySims for my bday as a joke but I actually had a lot of fun with it.

I honestly don’t like a lot on the Wii, but I did enjoy picking up ridiculously bad cheap vapor ware like America’s Next Top Model the game. (Trauma Center isn’t in this category and is actually good)

The DS Trauma Center games are a bit better, the Wii one is good but the touch screen is so mu HB ore precise and feels more surgical.

No More Heroes 1 and 2

    Xenoblade

    Monster Hunter Tri

    Sin and Punishment 2

    House of the Dead Overkill

Okami with the wiimote is really cool

and so is Pikmin with the wiimote

I think it does. It's one of those "protagonist is an obvious dick and you're not supposed to relate" kind of deals

FE: Radiant Dawn for the Wii is one of my favorite games ever and one of the best Fire Emblems, but it's a sequel to Path of Radiance so you'd need to play that one first sooooo Regardless I highly recommend both of them if you have even a passing interest in RPG's, strategy games, or visual novels.
