Yeah because he knows if any competitors get to market first their vaccine is toast. Their vaccine has to be stored at -70 C, making it a distribution nightmare. The Moderna vaccine, which uses the same tech, only has to be kept at -20 C. Meanwhile the Johnson & Johnson adenovirus vaccine has no special storage requirements, as far as I can tell at least. This announcement was sketchy af.

Oh so it will be transported in liquid nitrogen and only people living near biotech research facilities will be able to have it. Nice

One of the researchers will spill chemical x into it and everyone who gets vaccinated will turn into one of the powerpuff girls

don't worry. Our capitalist overlords have enough money to transport plenty of the vaccine via private helicopter to themselves and their concubines. Oh the workers? no of course they don't get any.

At first I was excited, then I read the part about the storage temps. Public distribution will be a nightmare. Plus it requires two doses about four weeks apart. Good luck getting people to follow through on that. It’s hard enough to get people to get their flu shot. Does anyone know if there’s a candidate that doesn’t require two doses?

Not for a while I think, there's stories popping up about mutations happening in norhtern europe so it's probably gonna be a two-dose vaccine until we're working on CoronaVax2.0. Also keep an eye out for when it's discovered the Dakotas are literal breeding grounds for this shit causing 3 new strains.

There're a bunch. The main ones are UofOxford/AstraZeneca AZD1222 and the Chinese CanSinoBio Ad5-nCoV - both currently in phase 3. And there're half a dozen more single dose candidates, but I don't think any of them started trials. The majority are double dose, 2, 3, or even 4 weeks apart.
