Too often I see it get framed by witnesses as “leftist gets triggered, yells” and not as “leftist puts reactionary in their place”.
No different than the bullied kid who finally takes a swing suddenly finding all of the bullies friends saying, "Hey! Whoa! Why so violent? We weren't being serious..." Doesn't mean they shouldn't have tried to stand up for them self.
I'd hope that most of us, out in the wilds of ones and aughts will have the ability to use compassion and sense when deciding just who and how hard to punch.
