These comments are amazingly horrid. Content warning if you peek at them. These wine cave warriors and their enthusiasm for vicariously-viewed death and killing across the world would make some Wehrmacht nazis blush.

Tankies shaking in their boots over that Abrams 120mm DU APFSDS slicing though Russian steel like butter.

Well, the alternatives are heavy metal, which also aren't the greatest to breathe in. It's almost like war is aweful and this one shouldn't have been started in the first place, but here we are...

    Its almost as if

    It's funny that

    I like it that

    It's ironic that

    It's weird that

They are harder and penetrate armour better. So yes they will provide an advantage.

Plenty enough to rip through the Russian armor! These are just old stockpiles of ammunition that weren't getting use anyways.

Nope the effectiveness is the point.

You can tell it's a NATO op because turning the land in to a twisted hellscape of poverty and lingering horror happens after ever NATO op.

But the +5% boost to critical hit damage was worth it because of the importance of this PVP season heated-gamer-moment

      But it will be free!

Free to continue privatizing everything and selling off all their natural resources to the highest bidder and leaving everyone else with the ruins

This is completely inexplicable. They're shooting at T-72s at most. You don't need DU penetrators to kill T-72s. Any modern HEAT shell should do the job. It would be darkly funny if they really just did have these lying around in warehouses and were sending the to UA to get rid of them without having to pay for safe disposal.

Also what are they planning to shoot them out of? Are these for the ate stripped down export Abrams the US is planning to send at some point in the future, maybe?

There's like a 99% chance that this is true.

I think the war crimes are the point by now. That's how ghoulish the wine cave warriors are, including the Lemmyverse liberals that keep saying "DU has better stats, checkmate" in the comments.

Daily reminder that UK has already sent depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine. A sizeable portion of them was blown up by Russian airstrike at the storage facility. With predictable results
