I think most of these "anarchists" are just libs who like :anarchy: as an aesthetic. I have yet to meet an actual, principled Anarchist bringing up the "push Biden left" argument - i've mostly met Anarchists who were tough as nails street kids who live in squats or students who spend every weekend as part of the black block. I've yet to meet any Anarchist irl who's actually a milquetoastesque electoralist watching V*ush. Seriously, this board needs to get over their hangup with Anarchism - i disagree on fundamentals with them just as much as any other ML, but every single Anarchist i've come across did more praxis every day than your average extremely online Leftist does in their entire life. They even tend to read more theory, too! Leftist activism in my country would be a joke without the effort of the Anarchists. These are good people doing good work, they deserve our respect and support.
Sorry for the rant, it's just something that needs to be said here. I understand where you're coming from, of course. I've become more ML every time some shitlib on r/breadtube went McCarthyist on "tankies". There's something about their smug, ignorant imperialism-stanning that just makes me want to give Stalin a long, big socialist fraternal kiss. But i do not count them as Anarchists, they just do not provide any reason for that besides liking to slap that label on themselves.
I respect the rant. Knowing very few leftists irl I do only really have online to draw my experience from. Thats why I like to call them "online" anarchists because the more online ones are, as you describe, the smug shitlib aesthetic chasers. Only support for the irl anarchists out in the shit doing real praxis.
My experience is that anarchists go through a pupil stage where they are still mostly radlibs. They'll grow up soon into a wobbly, anti civ anarchist or maoist depending on what kind of gems you expose them to.
