I remember Obama did this questionnaire when he was starting in politics where he definitely came out in support of gay rights - but then on the campaign trail he wouldn't say that was his position and it was one of the first disappointments from him. They said the same shit back then that they say now - "he has to appeal to centrists" or whatever as if any centrist Dem wasn't fully in the Hillary camp. Motherfucker took one of the broadest progressive mandates in modern American history and dissolved it into nothing, fuck Obama.
