As much as I like discussing that stuff, I worry that pro-use stuff outside of like incidental chat on main isn't a worthwhile legal liability for the people hosting this site. Sidenote can we have /c/annabis for us legal-state pariahs

I feel like being able to talk about drug use casually is enough for me and the only cannabis specific things I need to talk about goes in c/gardening. I've tried to figure out why people like the trees community on reddit, but I don't see it. I want to talk to interesting people and hopefully they do drugs. Talking to people who do drugs that I hope are interesting is a gamble I am not interested in anymore.

Eh. As long as people aren't using this place to distribute I think it would fall firmly within the bounds of freeze peach. Basically the same boundary as the guns community, or a potential sex work community. I'd be more worried about the moral issues than the legal issues. The potential of promoting self-harm, the downstream oppression and violence inherit in black market drug trades, etc.

I firmly believe having a forum and support network is a much better alternative than having people isolated though, that not every case of drug use is harmful, and that even when it is harmful, these are exactly the situations where intervention and support are a good thing.
