Today I was notified by NHS Test and Trace that I must self-isolate as I have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.         No, a functioning immune system should develop immunity against most if not all infections you have ever encountered.

        For a limited time, and a time that varies depending on the individual. Though granted, if Covid is similar to other coronaviruses immunity should stay around one or two years at least for most people.
