In the responses to the tweet, people came together to share the iconic video of a Scottish woman cursing Thatcher’s name on the day of her funeral.

    :sicko-yes:

It always blows my mind when I remember that there are non-aristocrat people out there who love Thatcher, I worked with someone who was hysterical when she died and it was one of the most unhinged things I've ever seen.

Not to offend you but what kind of rock do you live under where you are online enough to be on chapo.chat but don't know what the crown is?

I don't believe in Hell. But I do beleive our last moments can stretch on for a long time as our brain shuts down and I know she died in agony so I hope she spent close to an infitity in agony from her prespective before fading into oblivion.

Damn one of my favorite professors just said he was disappointed by this new season of the Crown and not to watch it. He was gushing about it last semester, but I guess a wittle cwiticism of imperialism ruins the fantasy of good monarchs.

I've watched it all so spoilers I guess, but the only IRA stuff is in the first episode, and then is completely ignored for the rest of the season so they can focus on the bad marriages of the most privileged people on the planet. And while Thatcher is portrayed as this weird, out-of-touch lizard (to the point where she comes off as more prissy than the fucking queen), they downplay her austerity policies as just causing some unemployment lol. Totally skips over the miner's strike and instead commends her action for retaking the Falklands from those pesky Argentines, and then ends with the Queen congratulating her for being such a successful girlboss.
