      I think the kayfabe is that the congressional GOP are going to prevent Pelosi and Schumer from repealing the 2017 tax cuts to raise the revenue necessary to respond to the crisis, that Pelosi's pay-go rule is some sort of immutable Law of Nature, that the bloated military and "national security" budgets are untouchable, such that the Dems have no choice but to raise money from the lanyards to fund downballot races against house Republicans in 2022 while they sit on their asses not significantly improving anything for at least two years Biden's "covid task force".
