Did you try turning your gender off and on again? That usually solves most basic problems.

Loading genders into a minigun and going out like Arnold at the end of Terminator 2

Might have to do with animation sets, reminds me of how certain Dark Souls speedrun tech is gender exclusive to one or the other due to relatively obscure idle animation flags added late in development (iirc to give the female character an extra idle animation?)

It's true in video games too, being trans increases your powers

    Wait a second:

    • Transing your gender resets animations in a lot of games

    • Games usually use the stand animation as the default state

    • Many games check whether you're standing to determine whether you can jump, instead of checking if you're on the ground, leading to a common bug where you can jump mid-air on your first frame out of a loading zone

So... there are probably games out there where you can trans your gender and hit jump on the same frame to get infinite double jump.

Does that include stuck scripts? That might solve a long running problem I regularly encounter in one of my modded games.

Swapping genders usually involves a model swap, and animations are attached to the model, so it's a good bet for animation issues, specifically. Giving yourself horns or a tail will probably do it too, if applicable in your game, but turning your gender off and back on again is funnier.

I don't think it's terribly likely to fix whichever bugs you have (you said they were stuck scripts, which may or may not be tied to any animations). The other classically useful way to unstick things is going through a fast travel or hitting a loading screen. Most games clear out all sorts of garbage during those. (See panic blood moons in BotW.)

Unfortunately loading screens do not fix scripts, they run through them. In a lot of cases a stuck script can mean reloading to an earlier save is the only fix I know of, otherwise it literally picks up where it left off when you load. If you turn on papyrus logging for these sometimes it will output monstrous 60,000 line logs of just error after error because of the rate at which they run.

WARNING: Some people may find that transing their gender causes their ranged weapon to fire less well
