      Actually, if you'd indulge me, I have one more question. Does the speed of the device running the adguard software limit your browsing speed or your overall internet speed? Does the internet traffic actually get rerouted through the device, or does it just work like a fishing net, pulling out ads as they pass?

        No it doesn't effect the speed of your internet, it just handles DNS requests, not the actual data passing through. No internet traffic gets routed through the device, just the DNS requests of your router. It could cause a slowdown if it got a ton of requests at once, but that's negligible. I just checked and on my computer it says the average processing time is 35 milliseconds, so a miniscule effect.
