On one side: He (And California leadership overall) is unwilling to actually do what needs to be done to combat this (Pay people to stay fuckin' home).

But on the other: The Recall Newsom crowd clearly just want to replace him with someone that just won't give a fuck at all, open everything up 100% and keep it opened up no matter how bad things get.

    Thats any state with a vocal recall movement. Nobody wants to pull them over doing a shit job, rather they want them pulled over not doing a shit enough job.

      I wouldn't say that's true. Alaska had been trying to recall its governor for his taking a hatchet to the state budget and essential services. It made it to the second round of signature gathering before the rug got pulled out from under it by the pandemic
