Many chud communities have been driven off Reddit in the past year or so, but in general most of them have written off Lemmy due to the fact that the main developer is an open communist. Libertarians have whined about the hardcoded slur filter. It isn't likely we'll ever see chuds start a Lemmy instance unless Lemmy gets to the point of something like Mastodon with millions of users and several third party android and ios apps. Then they might try to do what Gab did with mastodon, but they'll likely be shunned from the larger fediverse in the same way.
