This is pr buööshit this was not fireworks
remember that the port and warehouse are also very close to fuel tanks and other raw material storage. so, even if it was just fireworks exploding, the damage to everything around it would only exacerbate that, im assuming.
The reuters youtube livefeed shows how much damage it depends what time it was but it could kill like 50 to 100 workers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfBPgjIWG3I
Well you can see the fireworks in this one.
Fuck What about the warehouse i dont know if fireworks explode like that
Maybe they had raw material onboard, but I've got no clue.
You mean the warehouse to the left of the ship in this video? To me it seemed more like the explosion came from the ship.
https://twitter.com/BissanCampaigns/status/1290671086951161856 i dunnno i think its hard to tell
I took another closer look at the one I linked and it looks like it definitely came from the ship.
Its fucking sad and even shittier if that was just an industrial accident
At least it looks like it, I bet they ignored a shitton of OSHA, if they had anything like that.
there's reports saying it was 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate

for comparison, the Tianjin explosion was 800 tons and the Texas City disaster was 2200 tons

That "warehouse" is a bunch of grain silos, you can see it on google maps. Theres also an article about some regulations or something not being followed at the grain storage from a few years ago floating around.
Could it be like a dust explosion?
