Use Jitsi. Tell people you know to use Jitsi. Run a Jitsi Meet instance if you can.
Jitsi worked pretty well for our DnD party when Discord was acting up.
I had the first Jitsi instance in my country with decent bandwidth and in the beginning it was great and very popular, but the last few versions unfortunately became unstable and memory hungry… I got tired of it randomly breaking every so often and stopped caring about that server. I'm sad about it but I don't have the time :(
