The American people also voted to bolstered Mitch's power in the Senate and weakened the Dems hold of the House.
It's because he was progressive by like 2006 standards when everyone who got elected as a democrat was materially more right wing than that. Like seriously it was a crew that was essentially just all a bunch of Rahm Emanuel/Max Rose copycats.
