The US rehabbed the Nazis and folded them into NATO. Brought them into the space race program. Interned Japanese ONLY. Allowed Nazis to take refuge in Latin America. Went after American communists rather than American Nazis. Brought Japanese war criminals into bio weapons program
Most of the rest is correct but we had camps for Italian- and German-Americans too.
Well, yeah, but it wasn't nearly on the same scale. Not that I'm saying it was fun to be a German-American during either of the world wars--a mob tried to lynch my great-grandfather for preaching in German and being a pacifist Mennonite to boot, but even so it really doesn't compare to how Japanese-Americans were treated.
Oh no doubt, but there were internment camps for everyone is what I'm saying. Easier for german/italian folks to pretend to be wasp or whatever,no doubt
