AIKSCC INTENSIFIES MASSIVE PROTESTS, BLOCKADES & MARCHES IN STATES; GOVT. DENIAL OF ALL-INDIA CHARACTER OF FARMERS PROTESTS EXPOSED

• AIKSCC appeals to the Govt. to immediately withdraw the 3 Farm Acts and EB 2020 and not try to hunt for piecemeal compromises as none exists

• AIKSCC clarifies that there is nothing about Farmers Welfare in 3 Farm Acts, it is about Corporate Control over farming which will ruin farmers. Hence Repeal is the Only Answer

-AIKSCC decries delaying tactics of the Govt. as unsympathetic to the plight of struggling farmers

• AIKSCC issues advisories for implementation of the Bharat Bandh; gives cal to all sections of people to join the Bharat Bandh

• AIKSCC issues direct appeal to trader bodies to participate and support Bharat Bandh as Corporates are out to ruin both farmers and small traders

The National Working group of AIKSCC has said that he Govt. of India wants corporate growth in agriculture, which will mean big gains for corporate and complete loss and ruin for farmers. That is the main reason for Govt. dilly–dallying in the talks and its failure to repeal the Acts, so clearly demanded by all the farmers’ organisations. The anti-people anti-poor character of the BJP Govt. stands fully exposed before the nation.

The Govt. has been trying to push various ideas about a ‘compromise’ even though there is no situation of any compromise - farmers cannot compromise on their constitutional right to life and livelihood and the Govt. cannot snatch away such rights enshrined in the basic structure of the Constitution. The Acts are clear – the Private >Mandis of the Corporates are given advantageous legal rights and they will engage farmers in unequal and one-sided contracts. The farmers know this will make them more indebted and ruin them. The laws were forced despite opposition, yet it is incorrectly being argued that farmers are adamant. Truth is that the Govt. is adamant and it should listen to the farmers’ voice.

AIKSCC has made detailed plans for the Bharat Bandh on December 8. Trader bodies, mass organizations of industrial workers, govt unions, students, youth, women and other working people are being approached to make the bandh a grand success. Just as corporate penetration in Agriculture will erode all freedom for farmers, similar impact is already being seen through online trading, eroding business of small traders. >The Bandh will several mass rallies, dharnas at tehsils and block level offices. This will be followed by large mobilisations by AIKSCC units in state capitals of several states. Meanwhile mobilisations into Delhi are increasing and gatherings at all protest sites is rising.
