Illustrating my favorite useless geography fact: you can drive from the US to France without crossing an ocean.
but there's no bridge to St Pierre & Miquelon, and you can't drive across the Darién Gap?
There's a ferry that takes cars in the summer from Newfoundland to Miquelon, IIRC.
Most of the Islands below South Africa are uninhabited and the majority of Falklanders want to be part of the UK. Same with Azores, Madeira, and Canary Islands. Greenland does not have an independence movement since Denmark basically funds them, New Caledonia had a vote this year and decided to stay part of France , and most of the other places as well. While there is something to be said about economic imperialism currently happening, using this map as an example of anything is dumb imho
