No. As someone who's played an unhealthy amount of Madden, that's literally it.
They'll sell it on "new features and improved graphics/animation," but the new features are actually features that were in the game four years ago that they inexplicably took out, and the improved graphics/animation are marginal improvements at best (that still leave glaring flaws in gameplay).

The yearly sports release became a tradition before patching was a widespread thing, and they'll keep doing it as long as it makes more money.
