I cant believe we are this far into the pandemic and people are still acting this way. My parents forbid me from confronting them about it lmao. I might anyways its pissing me off
They fired the employee who asked them to wear a mask? Wtf that's totally within their rights
While I'm grateful I get some leeway to call people out for outright refusing to wear masks and can refuse service, the management where I am also refuses to acknowledge that some people are just wearing useless (thin to the point of being transparent) "masks" and condescendingly asked "well what WOULD make you comfortable". Like for fucks sake a surgical mask or equivalent cloth covering, how hard is this to understand? So I'm allowed to ask people to keep their mask over their nose, but not allowed to call people out for wearing a completely ineffectual mask that blocks nothing.
That would literally be better than some of the shit they tolerate. Shit like this
Someone from my family is a rent-a-cop at a store, and there are legal limits on max occupancy in the store (you know, with the whole pesky corona thing and all), but he's forbidden from stopping people if the limit is reached. So, it's like there was no limit at all
Over here it's actually a legal requirement, with possible fines if caught. But nobody goes around enforcing it. The only enforcement is when some women go to protest a fucking anti-abortion ruling outdoors, wearing masks and keeping their distance. Now that's a threat worthy of the porkorate's attention.
This post sounds a little bit finger-waggy PMC so I felt the need to clarify: I work in a department store. We all wear masks 24/7. It's not hard
To be fair I helped a friend move house with a mask on and it was hell but I'm in Europe and everyone lives on the 4th floor here
Maybe I'll just be passive aggressive and leave a bad Yelp review. That's the same right?
No. That’s lib shit. Tell them put on a mask. I don’t want to get COVID
Man. I get not wanting to wear one, but just fucking do it. I've worked 6+ hours in a mask. I've worked out in a mask a shit ton. It's not as fun/good as without but it's a fucking pandemic, get over yourselves.
I did a squat+deadlift day in a mask. And it sucked a lot, but I still did it. These assholes are taking your parents money and putting them at risk, fuck that
I know right? We have our masks on at least but I'm not sure if that's enough
It's the free market, dog. You can choose other movers. But that's probably a pain in the ass
Jfc. My Dad tipped them each $100.
"And that's for the covid you gave us, thanks!"
