Like he obviously didn’t intend for it to be a “both sides have good points” thing but when you present your story as a dialogue between two people who are given equal speaking time, it’s always gonna end up making both sides look legitimate. It’s the same reason debates are so fuckin pointless. Having the black dude hug the racist asshole at the end also didn’t help
