Jack Saint, sarcastically: Jake Sully isn't just a good native, but the best native. He gets the big special bird!

Dry Boys: Sully is such a blank-slate character, so underprivileged, that he's the best candidate among the colonizers to become a native.

their spiritual leader says "it is hard to fill a cup that is already full" and since Jake's cup is indeed empty, he can learn to actually become one of them. he's not like other girls.

would you prefer him siding with the colonizers instead? isn't a traitor as a leader one of the biggest propaganda victories possible, to inspire others to switch sides as well?

I don’t have a problem with them identifying. Just don’t dismiss the fact that it’s a white savior narrative.

it does get a little complicated with the whole interspecies cloning, but yes, the originally white guy is a savior. but by the point he saves them he has basically rejected everything white about himself, and by the end he literally kills the white guy. queer af
