In a statement posted on Twitter, Guaido’s office thanked USAID for the aid but said it would not administer any of the funds itself, given that it has not yet appointed a comptroller.

“100% of the resources will be administered through implementing parties authorized by U.S. authorities,” the statement read.

When you're definitely NOT a puppet.

Maduro bad. This is all they said in the article:

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) said in a statement that the funding would go towards independent media, civil society, the health sector and the opposition-controlled National Assembly, which is led by Guaido.

I know this is dumb to point out because it’s so obvious -but you know how news reporting is supposed to be somewhat fair and provide an alternate take (ie “some questioned the legitimacy of the move”) even if it’s just one line buried deep in the article - well the left never even gets that

Honestly critical support for Guaido. He's somehow gotten the US government to give $10s of millions to Venezuelan Beto.

Hope he spends it like the benefit money Richard Branson raised for him, on cocaine and hookers in Colombia.

    I could use some funding.

Imagine, instead of this, just giving a poor neighborhood better infrastructure.

What a waste of resources, even if you wanted to fund regime change in Venezueala there has to be a more competent guy than Guaido.

Why is Guaido not in prison? Didn't he commit treason when he encouraged the military to defect and foreign countries to freeze Venezuelan assets?
