Dude's melting down for being called out. Maybe next time don't switch engines 3-4 times?
(This is in the dunk tank because it a self-dunk, I feel. Mods if you want this in vidya, go ahead.)
Yes. You work 70 hours a week during crunch, and then are "laid-off" with the offer to be rehired for DLC once the game has launched.
Amy Henning has spoken about it. In her experience with Naughty Dog (before being pushed out by Druckmann/water-cooler rumor talk) where she had to do 80 hour weeks.
How to make a billion dollars- make an fps where you fire by yelling slurs into a mic
So you're saying I can horny post on /c/main and not have it be moved to /c/horny? :thinkin-lenin:

Regrettably, we can’t move threads.
lead project manager of duke nukem forever, and in general an old duke nukem designer iirc
Yes, he was the lead for Duke Nukem 3D (considered State of the Art at the time since you could intereact with a lot of things. The " Build Engine " was really good for the 1990's).
Thing is, with Duke 3D's success, he had/wanted to be "state of the art" again and chased the dragon with engines, saw another new engine come out and would force the team to scrap ALL their work to redesign it in the new engine. REPEATEDLY. Of the course of 15 years.
for those who don't know Duke Nukem Forever is infamous for being stuck in development hell for over a decade
back in my day "Duke Nukem Forever" was the canonical example of vaporware.
The g*ming industry fucking sucks, particularly the AAA industry. Exploitation of workers, sexual harassment on big companies, billionaires, overpricing, fuck that shit, it must burn.
I love Jim Sterling because he constantly shits on them, few critics have the courage to do that.
