There's definitely a progressive wing of the American Civil Religion.

You see rhetoric like "Why can't we have healthcare in the RICHEST AND MOST POWERFUL NATION IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND?" "I know things look like shit, but WE'RE AMERICANS and I know we can do better!" "You think we can't do the things THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES have figured out?."

Nothing wrong with that. People can conflate patriotism with civic duty rather than nationalism, and it’s good to get that message into unengaged heads who have a positive opinion of patriotism.

Progressive Activists (8 percent of the population) are deeply concerned with issues concerning equity, fairness, and America's direction today. They tend to be more secular, cosmopolitan, and highly engaged with social media.

This definition could apply to like, KHive posters depending on how you define those concepts. Full report is linked here and it seems poorly done imo

Passive Liberals (15 percent of the population) tend to feel isolated from their communities. They are insecure in their beliefs and try to avoid political conversations. They have a fatalistic view of politics and feel that the circumstances of their lives are beyond their control.

You just know that out of the few conservatives/boomers who aren’t proud to be American, most only think that because they think America has been taken over by “commie SJW democrats”

I'd say there's more of the "politics are so uncivil these days" types

Man, I love living in a country built on the murder of hundreds of millions and maintained by the exploitation of billions. It's all worth it since i can have an iphone

remember that the 4-10% of non-pride in conservatives is overwhelmingly going to be people who think America is "too mongrelized" or "Black-friendly" or something like that, and instead take pride in being european

The poll represents the approximate first five years of Gen Z, once younger members are eligible to vote in the poll the percentage of proud Americans in that generation is hopefully going to go down quite a bit

Its kind of interesting to see that out of all minority groups Asians are the least "proud" of being American.

Includes people of middle eastern descent who’ve most recently been the target of the American war/hatred machine.

Partially because many probably came to the US out of economic necessity because their home countries were destroyed by the US. But then again, that's the case for like every non-white person that immigrated with the exception of gusanos.
